Connecting MINDDS with RD-Connect

Saturday June 15th, Gothenborg, Sweden

MINDDS is a pan-European network of researchers, clinicians and patient organizations, who aim to facilitate research activity on neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) associated with rare Copy Number Variants (CNV).

A key objective of MINDDS is to consider how NDD patient data can be captured and integrated with common, discoverable databases, ensuring that it is available for data sharing and health informatics.

RD-Connect is an international community with the objective of accelerating rare disease research worldwide. Its RD-Connect Platform facilitates research on rare diseases by connecting databases, patient registries, biobanks and clinical bioinformatics data into a global data resource.

This workshop aims to:

  • Explore the capabilities of the RD-Connect platform for our NDD research
  • Establish the data and informatics needs of MINDDS
  • Create a roadmap and implementation plan for data linkage and analysis for NDD research.

The workshop will run from 9am- 1pm, and will be held on the opening morning of the European Human Genetics Conference

MINDDS will support attendance of 20 participants at the MINDDS/RD-Connect workshop (but not registration or attendance to the ESHG19 conference).

To register email to MINDDS@cardiff.ac.uk,  marked Attn:RD-Connect Workshop.

Places will be allocated on a first come basis.
