Knowledge nexus is one of the capacity-building objectives of MINDDS project. It will establish an optimal method to collate and share expanding knowledge in research of neurodevelopmental disorders. This will comprise the design of prototype databases using a set of common data elements in existing databases of network participants and web-based knowledge exchange procedures for patients/parents, clinicians and researchers. It will be developed in collaboration with experts in e-health, informatics, secure-by-design e-infrastructures, and data protection safety/security and it will expand as the MINDDS project is progressing.
Currently, the knowledge nexus includes sections for researches, clinicians and patients and their families. Researches can explore the databases of universities, hospitals & clinical hospitals, research institutes, industries and public health institutions involved in MINDDS. Clinicians can use the nexus for knowledge exchange within universities, hospitals & clinical hospitals and public health institutions involved in the project, and patients and their family member can search for information through national organizations, hospitals & clinical hospitals and public health institutions.
